General Approach

Lisa has developed a unique and dynamic approach to help people understand how to meet and manage life's challenges with a resilient, healthy and balanced outlook.  The approach is concrete, insightful, easy to understand, and easy to apply.

Lisa's approach is eclectic, cultivating a therapeutic process of understanding human dynamics with existential, humanistic and experiential theories and models; "how are we existing".  The foundational approach being existential theory of "Logotherapy", "logo" is a meaning-oriented therapeutic process developed by psychiatrist and neurologist Viktor Frankl - a survivor of the Holocost.  The freedom of the will, the will to meaning, and the meaning of life are the tenets of this therapy; choice, values, and freedom.  Life is a learning and changing process.....

By defining and changing our landscape of emotions/feelings (affect), thoughts (cognition), and responses (behavior), redefining values and quality, we begin to live with the power of positivity.

Other therapeutic models and theories Lisa uses are:
  • Experiential
  • Humanistic
  • Gestalt
  • Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
  • Person-Centered
  • Resiliency
  • Solution-Focused
  • Strengths
  • Empowerment
  • Psycho-Education
  • Poetry Therapy
By integrating these approaches, a more in-depth and meaningful understanding of the self and life can be attained, with more clarity, in order to navigate along life's journey with more ease.  Embrace "living for a change", live with purpose and meaning, live better ~ not harder.

Grasping the human experience and spirit are the keys to unlocking the door to a quality life and journey along the way.
